It wont harm to walk into all the local garages and ask.You never know.
just leave them your number and details.. people like to put a face to who they are talking to on the phone. most garages and mechanics I know employ like that rather than advertise. (dont know why) But its worth a shot.and good luck,Im sure you will find something as you have posted here and that shows you are keen

Also get a bunch of plain postcards pet and spend a couple of quid putting them up in newsagents windows with what you've written here. Good luck
Sin lies only in hurting other people unnecessarily. All other "sins" are invented nonsense. (Hurting yourself is not a sin - just stupid.) ~Robert A. Heinlein

No I can't drive but hopefully if I can earn some money I will be able to start learning.

Do you have insurrance to work on people's cars. Just a thought, if you were working on mine & say the jack slipped & you were underneath? Who would be liable?
It has been said that when helping people change their behaviour – “the spirit in which help is offered” is the most important aspect, more than the degree of skills and knowledge of the helper!

I'm not working on other peoples cars, I am looking for either an apprenticeship or a full time job.

Good on yer lad, keep at it, it won't be easy but persistence asking at the garages will hopefully pay off in the end.
