Thought I would revive this thread as I was talking to Mike McKay's sister the other day and said I would see if I could find the pics.

In the second photo "the Big Twist" wasnt Shane Fenton to become Alvin Stardust?
-
Nice to see you in town Chad.... That was some co-incidence I have only ever been in the 'Halifax' on 3 occasions in the last 20 odd years!

Haha - sorting out my uncle's estate (if only)

Some of the Argonauts and the Tudors were present at the Clifton a few weeks ago along with Pete kelly from R & B inc.

R&B etc
Ah, you're back, so we'll probably see the O'G pics soon on the other channel...

Was it the Argonauts, that Mick Rankin was in?
How are you doing Chad,do you still get to Weatherspoons?

60s Bands
Not sure about membership - Chas is the expert on all that.
I'm afrraid Wetherspoons no longer on my agenda since Uncle John succumbed to the rigours of drinking and smoking - still alive, but very disappointed in his so-called 'mates' who can't be bothered to visit him.

Sad to hear that Chad, your uncle was always a face, to be seen around town.He must also be getting on in age now.

John
Very true Nell. It's me who's disappointed for him. Stroke has cabbaged him and he's in a home. (Only 77, not very old).
I suspect many of the so-called 'mates' are 'hail fellow, well met'-types who probably couldn't really give a sh*t about anyone else as long as they are p*ssed-up.

I played with the Argonauts for several years and yes Mick Rankin was in the band.
