Big house? - corner of Park Road/Roe Lane
Just wondered if anyone has a photo of what was once on the corner of Park Road & Roe Lane - I've heard rumours that there was once a massive house there. Now, there about about 10 houses with steps leading up to the front doors - I'm just trying to imagine what was once there.
If anyone has a photo, that'd be great!

Roe Lane / Park Road corner
I seem to remember that the boundary wall of the property had a wavy, cement rendered top, rather than a conventional flat top. The occupier in the fifties being a Dr. Wilson?

Correction - I think the occupier was Dr. Walker-Wilson.

Sounds lovely, it's such a shame more of these big houses aren't still used as houses instead of nursing homes or flats. Mind you, I'd prefer that to them not being there at all!

Would it have been Cresta Hotel ??

Row Lane
Does anyone know anything about the little house on Row Lane, almost opposite the rookery entrance,I say little house because compared to the surrounding houses it is,the front door is almost up to the pavement,it doesn't fit in,Was it a farm house before Row Lane was built ?

Good heavens! I've never noticed that house before!
Why do people never admit to being just the right amount of whelmed?

Thank you, that's brilliant!

Distressing when you see the carbuncles that replaced this House.
