Spring is here - and Rufford Old Hall's opening its doors for the new season on Saturday 25 February at 11am.
Catherine Davies, the Hall’s Visitor Experience Officer, told QLocal: “It’s a really busy time for our staff and volunteers at this time of year.
“We’re gearing up for the new season which starts on 25 February, and we would like to invite visitors to a spring treat of brunch and a snowdrop stroll!"
Pop in on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 February for brunch from 11am then join a snowdrop stroll at 1.30pm. Booking not needed - prices £8 per person. Normal admission applies, places on a first come first served basis.
Added Catherine: “At the start of the season, we always suggest that visitors might like to join the National Trust as a member (if they’re not one already).
"With more and more people holidaying at home and going for days out, it means you can enjoy over 400 of our places and spaces nationwide – including of course the fabulous coast and countryside which the UK has to offer.
"If you join before 29 February you can still take advantage of 2011 rates which start at £50.50 – and by doing so you’re helping to support our work in protecting and managing these special places."

There a bit late for snowdrops as they will start dying off in the next few weeks, other places locally have been opening for the last month or so just for the snowdrops.
I need to find my NT card and get to Rufford this year! Either that or wait till they renew my membership card!

Well our snowdrops (at home) are just at their best right now.
A week ago they were all closed up as if they were too cold to open, so I don't think it's too late yet.
