Violence erupted this afternoon (18/02/2013) after a group of travellers started to fight with each other. A Transit van had its window smashed and mirrors broken by a man with a jack handle.







A concerned member of the public called the Police who attended the scene. No arrests were made.

At last a decent news story!

The "reporter" may have witheld the location of this incident to prevent crowds of onlookers gathering to watch the proceedings, but really, was this in Southport, Cornwall or somewhere between?

Looks like the road that the Eco centre is on, Weld road roundabout?

Why call the police?,the last thing these people would require is the presence of the police. Scum is a word that easily comes to mind with these cretins,just moving this filth around eases the burden of the general population. Just get them back to Ireland would be a plus,pull up the drawbridge then

How do we know the two that broke the van were gypsies ? Could they have been irate locals issuing a friendly warning?

Wouldnt go as far as to say scum, ive met a lot of travelers over the years and there are alot of genuinly nice people besides fair play to them if i could beat the system like them i would instead of gettin screwed by the government

The road is already covered in the detritus that the travelling community seems to think is ok to leave behind for some one else to clear up littering at least ?
Those pictures of criminal damage should be enough to convict ?
Why are the vehicles not getting ticketed then clamped for parking in restricted zones ?
Why can some people be allowed to break the law with impunity ?
Why does anyone defend them ?
