Suspected heroin, cocaine and £70,000 cash seized in raids
POLICE seized suspected class A drugs and a substantial amount of cash after carrying out a raid in Fleetwood and searching an address in Burscough.
Officers from Lancashire Constabulary’s targeted crime units executed a drugs warrant at a property in Walmsley Street in Fleetwood last night (Thurs.)
Around two ounces of powder, believed to be heroin and cocaine, were recovered during the raids and £70,000 in cash was also seized from a Burscough address.
A 43-year-old man and a 50-year-old man, both from Fleetwood, were arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin with intent to supply. A 44-year-old man from Burscough was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine. The three men are currently in police custody.
“We believe these raids will have a significant impact on a supply chain of Class A drugs that has been operating across the county."
