Jospice is organising a very special spring time Fun Run for Sunday 1st April.

For many years, Crosby had a fun run specifically for Liverpool's oldest and largest hospice.

Now, in time for its 50th anniversary year, one's back on the starting line, and will take place at Crosby Leisure Centre.

Pat Murphy, Director of Fundraising said: “Our Golden Jubilee year is the right time to have such an event that we hope will become part of our annual calendar.

"The fun run is about 5km and open to all.

"We do hope to have families taking part, as well as the many people who are trying to get fit, and this is just the right distance. But we'd welcome anyone who has never taken part in such an event, and want to make it a real community event for our Golden Jubilee year

The charity's worked closely with Sefton council in choosing the route which will be safe for all. The starting time will be 10.30am, with a short warm up time before hand. Crosby Leisure centre staff are lending their support and opened their facilities to Jospice.

Said Pat: "It’s a great opportunity after the winter for local people to come together to show their support for Jospice during their special year."

Entrance is just £10 or £15 for a family. For further information and to register, phone 0151 932 6035
