Real pity, he was a great comedian!

Saw him in The Crown, Birkdale many years ago after he'd taken part in a charity golf event - to say he was drunk was an understatement but he was a genuinely hilarious guy and had us all in stitches - he wasn't performing he had just come in for a few drinks but he was so comfortable just sat at the bar talking to us like he'd known us for years!!

Frank was, indeed, a great comedian and able to entertain all ages. Met him regularly at Blackpool Football Club when he was appearing in the resort and he always lit the room up with his huge smile and non-stop jokes.
There comes a point in your life when you realise who really matters, who never did and who always will.

That's a great story and one that I think many people will have experienced. Years back a group of hubby's friends were lucky enough to play a round of golf with him in Ireland. He had them in stitches of laughter all the way round the course, and then afterwards in the clubhouse. He made their weekend so enjoyable and memorable, and hubby was so envious on missing out on it.

I used to love watching him on the TV, from The Comedians to Tiswas. A truly funny guy.

Loved this guy growing up, the cheeky grin and the jester-like manner and of course the voice - a true original comidian. RIP & thanks for all the smiles and laughs.

Frank was a great guy. He was a keen supporter of my Party and came to the 2009 Party conference that I organised at Southport.
Sadly missed. A real gentleman - and hilarious.
