Hi all! My name's Rick and I'm from North Miami, Florida. My great auntie and cousins have lived in Southport for some time and I can't get enough of the "small town" vibe that Southport has in spades. I'm currently staying with my partner in Poland (******* long distance relationship!) but we will be visiting Southport for a few weeks in February.

I'm mostly joining this forum to keep in touch with family, but also hope to get some top tourist tips from the locals for when we visit. I'm also after a local MCSE qualified techie for some IT issues I'm having - any recommendations gratefully received!

Moved to Southport 8 months ago for the views, relative proximity to partner's daughter, kiting and general 'nice'ness of the town - nowhere's perfect but we love it here.

Enjoy red wine, food, bird-watching since living here, kite-flying and spending time at the beach, running (well I do it, don't always enjoy it!), snowboarding, driving down to Dorset to see my family
