I always enjoyed that music and lead-in...

I found the scenes towards the end of Straw Dogs with Dustin Hoffman and Susan George in the property very unnerving.
There comes a point in your life when you realise who really matters, who never did and who always will.

For me Halloween (1978). My partner remembers those public information films that was shown on TV in the 1980s, and also in schools at the time. There was one P.I.F that he remembers watching in school when he was nine. It was called Apaches and it was about the dangers on farms. There was one scene where a young boy drowned in a slurry pit, that film gave him nightmares for weeks he told me, and the slurry pit scene still haunts him 26 years on. The full film is on YouTube "Apaches 1977". He won't watch it even now aged 35.
