At least
10 - 15 used drug needles where scattered around an entry at the rear of a
local estate agents in Anchor Street & Post Office Avenue this
afternoon. I saw blood in some used needles which could be infected with
the AIDS virus. Onthespot.

Charity Lorry Pull down Lord Street. This was in aid of the Firemen and
Police who were killed in the Word Trade Centre tragedy in New York.

A Local
bus driver was shot at while driving passengers for Arriva transport on
Church Street Saturday afternoon at approx 3.00 pm, the bullet from either
an air gun or a 2.2 rifle missed the driver and went through the side
window behind the driver of bus number 7217. A piece of glass hit a lady
passenger (her condition not known). Onthespot.

meet the super joiners on the pier, from left to right, John,
Casey(engineer), Peter and Geoff. Members of the public, Les Parker from
Shropshire and his friend Tom Jones from Chester,they said that the
workmen were making a smashing job of the pier although they would of
liked a victorian structure at the end of the pier. Further pier
pictures of the construction work, wooden rsj's lined out ready for pier
flooring, new glazed windows, pier roof work being completed with an
electric seal machine joining roof cladding together. Also, what is going
to happen to the Aquarium and will the old shelters be used again on the
pier or will new ones have to be built? Onthespot.

Council are not doing their job according to golfers (paying members) at
Southport Municipal Park Golf Club. They complained over one month ago
about people digging up the golf course looking for victorian glass
bottles. Still one month later and nothing has been done! Shall we stop
paying our fees one member said to me? Pictures show damage caused by
diggers who come onto the golf course during the night. Onthespot.

started today by Gleeson Homes without prior notice to local residents at
the former Old Ben Home Waterloo Rd. Mrs Leef'l who lives next to the home
said first thing she new that work was starting is when bonfire smoke came
into her home, she got in touch with the council who came out to the site
