West Coast was the new name given to the established Hyundai
dealership upon the change of ownership in 2001. Known previously as
Cubleys of Ainsdale, a business that has been trading on Liverpool,
Road Ainsdale since the late 60's it changed hands on the previous
owner's retirement and West Coast Hyundai was born.
The new owner Andrew Healy has been in the motor industry for
more than 25 years and was looking to secure one of the
manufacture's franchises in the North West. Since taking over the
franchise it has proved very successful with increased business
throughout Hyundai ranges.
Hyundai have launched new models into the market in the past
years including the Santa Fe 4 X 4, the stunning new Coupe the
Matrix MPV and the all new Getz. The Getz is already proving
extremely popular with prices starting from £6,995 on the road.
Hyundai's decision to offer a fully unlimited mileage 5-year
warranty on all new models was an industry first and it really
struck a chord with customers boosting the range's popularity
further as Andrew Healy explains "The value for money range offered
by Hyundai, together with the new warranty is proving very
successful and gives customers real peace of mind"
The Hyundai operation subscribes
to the
manufacturer's Approved Used Car schemes, in which the cars undergo
stringent pre sales inspections and are sold with an inclusive
comprehensive warranty. The dealership also offers a full after
sales service with factory-trained technicians and the latest new
models available to loan while your car is in for a service or
repair, MOT and bodywork repairs.
During the last 20 years, the Liverpool Road site has also
represented the Lotus, Daihatsu and Alfa Romeo franchises with
Hyundai being introduced in 1996. There are now 23 staff members,
some of them with an excess of 20 years with the Company. West Coast
remains privately owned. Having previously been an Alfa Romeo
Dealership West Coast still have many client's who take advantage of
the Alfa experienced technicians to maintain their cars or indeed
for advice when buying accessories from the Parts Department.
The future looks bright too. A new stand alone Hyundai Showroom
has recently been built and there is more to come. It's yet another
improvement to the facilities at a dealership that has delivered
over 12,000 cars to new owners not only in Southport and the
surrounding areas but all over the UK.
