DIGITAL
The
benefits of digital broadcasting are that of clearer pictures and
sound plus various interactive services, for example:- email,
shopping and banking, pay per view movies and interactive sports
channels, all of which are available through your TV. At present
Digital Terrestrial TV is broadcast by and is received via a wide
band aerial and a set top box, whilst Digital Satellite TV is
broadcast by and received via a mini dish and a set top box.
S.E.A.
AERIALS supply and fit Sky Digital and Simon is a
registered Sky Digital installer. The FREE Sky Digital equipment offer
(subject to Sky's 12 months minimum subscription and installation fee)
is also still currently available. This offer applies to both new
subscribers and existing analogue customers. A new feature of the Sky
Digital System is that it can enable you to view and control your
Digibox from any TV in your house by using a TV link magic eye. |

AERIALS
S.E.A.
AERIALS supply a vast selection of television aerials. They range from the
standard ten element aerial to the one hundred element, high gain anti-ghosting
aerial. These aerials are to cover the wide signal spectrum from analogue to
digital. A
site survey is carried out before installation to establish which aerial will
provide optimum signal, ensuring you the best picture quality. S.E.A. AERIALS
specialise in poor reception areas and channel 5 problems. All
aerials and materials supplied are of a high quality. Only galvanised wall
brackets, alloy masts and welded chimney brackets are used. Low loss cable is
used for all analogue aerial installations and an approved double-screened cable
is used for all digital aerial installations. |

Communal
Systems The
modern communal system is now more commonly known as an Integrated Reception
System (IRS) and is an invaluable asset in multiple dwelling properties. An
IRS is a means whereby any number of homes in a single building can share the
signals received by a single TV aerial and satellite dish. Each home in the
property has access at all times to any of the receivable services, i.e.
analogue and digital, satellite and terrestrial. IR
systems not only give residents freedom of choice but they add value to
properties by enhancing the services available. They can also prevent damage to
building structures and residents' disputes over ad hoc dish or aerial
installation. S.E.A.
AERIALS offers a design, installation and maintenance service for IRS systems. |

Custom
Satellite Systems A
range of high quality analogue and digital satellite receivers can be
supplied for the reception of various other English and European
channels e.g. Eutelsat and Hotbird. Dishes from 40cm to 200cm are also
available. S.E.A.
AERIALS carry out a dish re-alignment service and can also supply and
fit most makes of LNB's |

Radio
Aerials There
are three different types of Radio Aerials, their use being dependent upon what
stations you wish to receive. The
AM Aerial - AM meaning Amplitude Modulation. This is the old medium wave
aerial, however some radio stations do still transmit on this band. The
recommended aerial used for this band would be an Omni directional whip. The
FM Aerial - FM meaning Frequency Modulation. This is now the most common
band of transmission that the majority of radio stations use, as it provides a
clear sound with very little interference. There are two types of aerial used to
receive this band, either an Omni directional for strong stations or directional
element aerials for stations with weaker signals. The later aerials are also
used when you have specialist tuner equipment. The
DAB Aerial - DAB meaning Digital Audio Broadcasting. This is the newest
transmission band offering crystal clear sound of CD quality because digital
radio doesn't suffer from the effects of interference. The only downfall is that
as yet only a hand-full of radio stations transmit on this band, however the
number of stations will increase in time. The recommended aerial used to receive
digital radio is the directional vertical five element. |
