Excellent Thermal Insulation Saves You Money
PVC-U is a very poor conductor of heat and
therefore makes an excellent insulator. In the construction
industry, a material's U-value measures its ability to insulate,
with the lower the value, the better the insulant.
A typical old single glazed window has a U-value
of approximately 4.4W/m2K. REHAU frames have been tested and
proven to have a U-value of 2.6W/m2K, meaning our frames keep in
nearly 60% more heat than typical older frames. This conserves
energy and more importantly saves you money on your heating bill.
Traditional Window Appearance
The deep chamfers on our windows have been carefully designed to replicate the putty
line detailing of a timber window. This gives all the advantages of
PVC-U, while maintaining a traditional appearance, particularly if
you choose the warm mahogany or golden oak woodgrain finish.

independent bodies such as the British Standards Institute (BSI) and
