The Duncan family have been involved in the tobacco industry since 1899 when John Louis Duncan, who was a cigarette salesman in his pony and trap, founded his own pipe making factory.
Since then the family has been selling quality gifts to customers all over the world. In 1983 John Duncan, grandson of John Louis, founded John Duncan's in the family town of Southport. Now there are two thriving shops which have become part of Southport's long tradition of
independent boutique shopping.
John Duncan passed away in 2004 and now the shops are run by his wife Diane and his son Peter, alongside a team of dedicated staff, who all strive to keep providing residents and
vistors with the quality service and fine gifts for which they are renowned.
