Formed in 1980, Interblinds supplies and fits all types of
blinds for both the commercial and domestic markets. We manufacture the
majority of our own products, enabling us to meet customers’ specialist
requirements. The fact that we manufacture also means that we offer very
good value products produced to a high standard.
Quality
As prominent members of The British Blind and Shutter Association we are
governed by their code of practice and we are happy to send out copies of
this with quotations and enquiries.
Customer Profile
We are in the fortunate position that as the company has grown we have been
able to spread our customer base from the local household through to
national companies, and we are happy to work for anyone throughout the
country.
Experience
We Measure - We Make - We Fit
The fact that we have always offered a complete service means that we have
experience in all aspects of blind manufacture and fitting and all our staff
are fully trained to give a complete service. We also have staff with City
and Guild certificates in the installation of electrically controlled blinds
and awnings
We manufacture and fit all types of blinds from a simple domestic roller
blind to industrial shutters.

Roller blinds
are perhaps the simplest form of all blinds, and consist of cloth
attached to a tubular roller mechanism. The roller can be operated in a
number of different ways but the most common are a direct drive chain-
operated friction unit, or a spring roller. The simplicity of the system
lends itself to a vast range of fabric coverings, from basic plain colours,
patterns and flame retardant fabrics through to laminates and special
screens. To enhance the finished blind a variety of trims are offered to
finish the bottom of the blind. |
| Vertical blinds add quality and style to both
domestic and commercial environments, blending with existing furnishings,
whilst screening in a subtle manner by the rotation of the louvres. |
| Two elements are used in the manufacture of the
unit - a rigid headrail to guide the louvre carriers and the louvre itself
which, available in various widths, is attached to the carriers. The
carriers are linked to each other in order to bunch together at one or both
ends of the headrail. When rotated, the louvres overlap to create maximum
screening. Vertical louvres are available in a variety of materials ranging
from soft fabrics to pvc and in a vast choice of colours, some of which are
washable. A large range of fabrics is available including flame retardents,
to meet international standards. |
 |
| Special applications include curved tracks,
twin tracks top and bottom, mono and electrical control. |
 |
Venetian blinds
have a style quite unique and are probably the most well known of all
blinds. A rigid headrail carries the horizontal venetian slats, whilst
housing the control system for tilting, raising and lowering the blind The
Slats are usually manufactured in aluminium and can vary in widths from 15mm
to 50mm, thus creating a range of names used to describe various styles of 'venetians',
i.e. 'Micro Blinds' and 'Mini Blinds'. The number of options for operation
of the blind is ever-increasing in sophistication. |
| Timber slatted blinds
- as with metal venetian blinds, wood slat blinds are manufactured with a
rigid headrail and control system. The slats, available in a choice of
widths from 25mm to 50mm are selected from timbers noted for stability of
movement, particularly when reduced to narrow strips. Available in a range
of stained colours. |

Cassette Awnings
- A traditional awning, familiar on the shop front of many butchers and
blackgrocers. The unit offers a high degree of shade for the protection of
the seller's wares and is a development of the traditional pull out awning
with added ease of operation. The awning and roller, contained within a box
or cassette is fixed to the shop fascia, with the awning front profile
forming the closure. The awning is opened by the use of a winding handle to
the roller mechanism or by electric motor. A range of fabrics is available
in a variety of colours and patterns. |
