Located on New Cut Lane, Birkdale, Barr's Bistro - formerly Pepperpots - is under new management. Head chef Anthony Gornell has more than twenty years experience of working in restaurants all over the area, and his wife Caroline welcomes you as manageress.

The large, spacious dining area in its secluded and relaxing location makes dining at Barr's Bistro a pleasant change from the bustle of the town centre.

The menu serves international cuisine such as lamb, mixed grills, chicken and steak - but it is always worth looking at the popular and ever-changing specials board, which offers a more diverse range of dishes. If there's something your party would particularly like which is not on the menu, ring a day in advance and the bistro will happily cater to your desires!

The table d'hote menu offers great value and choice from a delicious selection, starting from just £9.95 for two courses and £10.95 for three courses.

Options include smoked haddock and rice fishcakes, or stuffed field mushroom with smoked bacon, garlic and cream sauce for starters, followed by chicken breast cooked with mushrooms, smoked ham and white wine cream, or penne pasta in cream and parmesan sauce with sautéed seasonal veg.
